The Cleaning and Maintenance – Kitchen Exhaust System SWMS covers the general maintenance and cleaning of kitchen exhaust systems in business premises such as commercial cafés and restaurants. This SWMS covers accessing and working in ceilings and kitchen exhaust ducts which are classified as Confined Spaces. This SWMS covers accessing exhaust systems from / on roofs and using ladders to access exhaust canopy’s and ducting in kitchens which is classified as Work at Height.
This SWMS does not cover cleaning kitchen ducts using pressure water cleaning equipment. An additional SWMS would be required for this tasks.
